Heart & Hand: Beading and Beadwork with Marilyn Gardiner

Beads adorn ceremonial items.

Beading and beadwork is found in the traditions of many cultures around the world.  Beads are used to create jewellery and to adorn clothing and ceremonial items.

Marilyn Gardiner, former Joseph Schneider Haus artist in residence, creates original works and borrows from traditional beading and jewellery patterns.

Art Deco inspired necklace.
Here is one of Marilyn's original necklace designs; it borrows from the designs of the Art Deco period.
